Judo Demonstration at Rooney M.S.
Pittsburgh Rooney 6-8 middle school invited AYD to perform at assemblies Sept. 18 to introduce 6th and 7th grade boys to the sport of judo and recruit members for the fall program at the school.  Program Coordinator Rick Brown and instructors Donnie Ray Black and Eric Thorne demonstrated some judo maneuvers and talked about their competition experiences.  There was even an opportunity for a few audience volunteers to try out a basic judo throw. 

New Gym Bags for AYD Members
AYD friend Myrna Perry spearheaded a project in August in outfit 50 members with new embroidered gym bags for the school year.
